Below is a brief overview of the main steps you will take in the home buying process with Signature Real Estate.
Select a community
According to the area to which your move is planned, pick one or several communities from those featured in the “Finding Your Home” section of this website, or visit the Signature Real Estate office, where a Signature Realtor will be happy to assist you in selecting a community best-suited to you and your family’s needs. You may then go on a tour of the communities you’ve selected. Remember to get information on community amenities such as tennis courts, pools, proximity to shopping, schools, etc. Your Signature Realtor will help you find out everything you need to know about the communities you choose. Depending on your needs, you should always run a quality check on area medical facilities, the school system, etc. as well as consider access to civic buildings, parks and recreation and general conveniences.
Select a house plan
After you choose a community, you'll then be able to choose a house plan. A Signature agent will give you information on the interior and exterior features of each plan; you can also find this information in the “Finding Your Home” section of the website. Consider the proximity of available house plans to community amenities such as the clubhouse or a lake – typically, homes located close to such amenities maintain a higher re-sale value.
A Signature agent will take you on tours of the house plans you’ve selected; in addition, each Signature community will have a Model Home, which will serve as an example of the fine detailing and craftsmanship put into every Signature home.
Secure financing
You’ve selected your new home…now you’ve just got to pay for it! Luckily, with Signature Real Estate, securing financing is as simple as paying a visit to the Model Home within the community of your choice. Our Preferred Lenders, with offices in each Model Home, will help you determine how much you want to borrow, at what rate, and for how long. Finalize sales contract
The specifications and features of a proposed home, site plan, materials to be used, and delivery date should always be clearly spelled out in any sales contract. Although reading and comprehending all the documents can be daunting, Signature’s knowledgeable Realtors will be there to assist you through the process. It is always your right to ask questions.
